workflow transition

Move an issue to a status, in Jira or on the forge

Synopsis

Move an issue to the status named, matched whatever its case, by the move the tracker offers from where the issue stands. The move is printed and confirmed before it is made. A status the tracker does not offer is refused, naming those it does, and so is a move that asks for fields, naming them: change its status with t in the interface or Change status on the web, whose forms ask for them. Either refusal exits 4. A blank status is refused before anything is asked.

Examples

workflow transition PROJ-7 "In Review" --yes # unattended

Options

  -h, --help help for transition
-y, --yes go ahead without the confirmation

Options inherited from parent commands

-n, --dry-run hold back every write to Jira, the forge, the messaging service, Taskwarrior, git and files, and say what it would have done
--log-format FORMAT say what goes to stderr as FORMAT: text, or json or logfmt, an entry a line stamped with its time (default text)
-q, --quiet say only warnings, errors and questions on stderr, leaving every note out
--request-log FILE append a one-line outline of each request (method, path, status, duration) to FILE, for a bug report
--verbose also say each request's outline on stderr, as a debug line (not while the terminal interface draws)
